We start by reading your lip color
Without color in the lips, the face can look tired and older. And even with daily lipstick, one meal wipes it away. CYAN doesn't start by applying color — we start by reading your natural lip color together with your skin's undertone. Even within "pink," putting a cool pink on someone who suits coral pink can make the lips look sallow. So we first assess your personal color, then mix from a palette of 50-plus shades on the spot to find the one shade that suits your lips.

Not heavier color — just healthy color
We don't fill lips in with dark color all at once. Even dark lips are built up in thin layers into a natural gradation so they read as a clear pink. We set the guideline from the tail and work bit by bit, then partway through we have you sit up to check symmetry and color in the mirror together — lips look different lying down versus sitting up. After it's finished we look in the mirror together to fill in any gaps, and keep before-and-after photos as a reference for the touch-up. The aim isn't "lips with lipstick on" but "lips that simply have good natural color."
The color looking faint is part of healing
Right after the procedure the color looks deep, but as the flaking falls away over the next few days it can look faint for a while. The color hasn't disappeared — around two weeks in, it rises back up through the new skin. No need to panic. Depending on your lip condition, the full color you want may not appear in one session, so in those cases we may suggest a touch-up. And if you've ever had cold sores (herpes), please tell us before the procedure — the stimulation can trigger a flare, so it's something to plan for in advance. Choosing color — your one shade from 50
We suggest broadly across moods — MLBB, water tint, personal color, gradation, coral pink, and more. Rather than applying a fixed shade as-is, we custom-mix on the spot from a base of 50-plus colors to match your lip color and tone. Even the same "coral" becomes a different color on each person. Which shade is right is case by case, so we look at your lips in person and decide together in the consultation.

Does it hurt?
The lips are more sensitive than brows, but because we build color shallowly, most clients find it manageable — a mild prickling. If it's uncomfortable, we can pause partway through.
How long does it take?
The full session takes approximately 2-3 hours.
What is the healing process?
Expect swelling for 2-3 days and dryness for about a week. Final color settles in 4-6 weeks.
Is a touch-up needed?
Yes — the included touch-up is done 6-8 weeks after the initial session. Once the color has settled, we refine the color payoff and the outline.
Can I choose any color?
We offer a range from subtle nudes to vibrant corals. During consultation, we find the shade that suits your skin tone.
I've had cold sores (herpes) — can I still get the procedure?
If you've ever had blisters on your lips, please tell us before the procedure. The stimulation can reawaken a dormant virus, so getting a preventive prescription from your doctor beforehand makes the session much more comfortable (preventive medication is a doctor's prescription area, so we can't provide it ourselves). If there's any tingling or sign of a blister around the lips on the day, we'll reschedule until it has settled.
The color looked faint right after the procedure — is that okay?
Yes, that's a normal part of the process. It looks deep right after, then can look faint for a few days as the flaking falls off — but the color hasn't faded; around two weeks in it naturally rises back up through the new skin. During this time don't pick at the lips — the color can come out patchy.
Will one session give me the full color I want?
It depends on your lip condition. How much color shows in one session varies with how dark or dry your starting color is, so in those cases we complete it with the included touch-up (within 3 months, KRW 100,000), refining the color and outline. Rather than promising it's all done in one go, building it up once the color has settled gives a more natural result.
Can I get lip blush if my lips are naturally dark or pigmented?
Yes, but it takes a different approach than pale lips. Applying a bright coral or pink straight over a dark, dusky base lets the underlying darkness show through and tends to look muddy, so we first run a neutralizing step — using a complementary tone to push the darkness down and create a brighter base — then build the flush in a later session. The darker or more pigmented the lips, the more sessions it can take, and the healed result varies from person to person, so we're honest in the consultation about what to expect rather than promising a single-session finish. We steer toward a brighter, healthier flush rather than a deep shade, since dark pigment carries more risk of settling dark again over time.
