Our Story

Semi-permanent makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic technique that deposits pigment into the skin's upper layers using specialized equipment. Unlike traditional tattoos, which penetrate deeper into the dermis and remain permanent, PMU pigments are formulated to fade naturally over 1 to 5 years depending on the treatment area and technique used. This gradual fading allows clients to adjust their look as trends, preferences, and facial features change over time. The most common PMU procedures include eyebrow enhancement such as Powder Brows, Lip Blush for natural lip color, semi-permanent Eyeliner for lash line definition, and Scalp Micropigmentation for the appearance of hair density. When performed by a qualified and experienced professional using medical-grade pigments and sterile single-use equipment, PMU is considered safe and eliminates the need for daily makeup application, saving time while providing a consistently polished appearance.

CYAN holds extensive professional qualifications spanning both clinical psychology and PMU artistry. Her credentials include a National Technical Qualification as a Clinical Psychologist and certification as an Art Therapy Counselor, providing a unique therapeutic foundation for her aesthetic work. In the PMU industry, she serves as an ISO International Semi-Permanent Makeup Judge. CYAN was the first Korean instructor invited to teach Powder Brow and Cover-up Brow techniques at Japanese clinics. She has been appointed a 2025 POPU Ambassador representing global PMU excellence, and produced the first online Powder Brow course in Korea. She also serves as a guest lecturer at Korean educational institutions, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing the intersection of psychology and beauty.

CYAN has completed over 40,000 procedures across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Her client base includes individuals from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China, Spain, Chile, the United States, Poland, and beyond, representing a wide range of ethnicities, skin types, and facial structures. This extensive volume of experience covers all four PMU specialties: Powder Brows, Lip Blush, Scalp Micropigmentation, and Eyeliner, as well as complex cover-up and correction work. With eight years of hands-on practice since opening the Seoul studio in 2018, this breadth of experience matters because it means CYAN has encountered and mastered the nuances of working with diverse skin tones, undertones, and healing patterns. Each procedure builds on the knowledge gained from thousands of previous cases, enabling more precise color selection, more accurate shape design, and more predictable outcomes for every client regardless of their background.
